i recently created a song about starbucks, and sent a copy of it on a CD to one of the boston managers, along with a letter. i'm hoping to get a response, but would not be surprised otherwise.
since my husband became a high school teacher, i have had to significantly reduce the frequency of my Starbucks visits. he used to be in computer software sales. it's now about twice per week that i indulge.

Re: expensive habbits are hard to lose
Mon, December 13, 2004 - 12:34 AMOnce upon a time I was spending over $400+ a month at Starbucks. It was my life, my 2nd home. Although I am not Catholic, during Lent I gave up Starbucks for 40 days and 40 nights. I was going once a day & then my Best Friend needed money for school so instead of going to Starbucks I gave him the money that I would have spent there. Now I go once, maybe twice a week and I actually appreciate it a lot more now. Just to show you how hooked I was... I had my 2nd Stroke at Starbucks and wanted to know afterwards if I had drank all of my Viente Soy Chai before the ambulance took me away. Also, after my first Stroke where I ended up being paralyzed on my left side for 4 months I went to Starbucks right after receiving the news from the Doctor since my right hand could still hold the Coffee. -

Wed, December 15, 2004 - 9:59 PMi'm afraid to quit for the simple fact that i would have to start paying full price or at all for my drinks...that and i would miss the esspresso osmosis high from making drinks all day.
